Indonesia issued Presidential Regulation (PP) no 98 of 2021, on the implementation of carbon economic value to achieve Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) targets and control greenhouse gas emissions. The regulation builds on Indonesia’s ratification of the Paris Agreement. The questions are: How do we go about it? How do we socializing the content, the terms, the ecosystem, into local government context?
The Research Center for Climate Change University of Indonesia (RCCC-UI) or “the team” trying to conduct the research activities related to the topic.

The Carbon Economic Value itself is a regulatory framework on carbon pricing and carbon trading arrangements. It is a future needs as a “pathway” for Indonesia’s readiness into a carbon market.

Is used to fuel electric generators and machinery. The biomass can be burn to create heat and then converted into electricity.

A general mapping about climate crisis
The power plant in Jeneponto is currently the result of the wind power project (PLTB) Tolo, at the location. Built by Vena Energy, in June 2017. The Jeneponto area is considered one of the most attractive areas for wind powered renewable energy in South East Asia.
