World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) was held on 5-7 October 2022 in Bali, Indonesia. I went to this event as an (independent invitation) exhibitor at Exhibition Hall, Westin Hotel, Nusa Dua. First day is the toughest: it`s started raining in Nusa Dua. Yes, Nusa Dua different than Kuta or Ubud. The first few drops already warn you that you probably will not have a sunny beach day or an exotic rice fields. And during the first day, I brought a paper tube storage, medium suitcase with a backpack by 15 minutes walking from the first taxi drop off point. It just because the driver misdirected with the location. For your information between 4 to 8 October 2022, Bali hosted a several G20 minister level summits. And it took place in all around Nusa dua area. It is caused an hectic traffic in several points road.
Nothing better than a cup of coffee to forget the raindrops. It was enough to accompanied me when I drew my booth. My booth concept is "a lot of manual drawing" and put it in a long the booth wall. They were fascinated neighbours In my sides. They are Studio Kolam Susu (an incredible visual story teller studio) and Harki (An amazing leather shoe maker)
The next day was an amazing day. The participants who are visited my booth enjoy the 3 minutes face sketch. Yes, I used a simple face sketch as my booth attraction. I only used markers and A4 size papers. If you enjoy the event, the rain will not be a problem.

The last day, I was invite by the committee to gave a presentation about "live drawing, illustration, and visual note taking" at exhibition hall mini stage. It was an half an hour breathtaking moment because the story about visual note taker or graphic recorder is still a rarely profession in Indonesia. So, I just made a random story about my 14 years experiences in a certain moment.

Drawings, sketching can be the way to advocate about certain topics. Sketching activities creates a space to show and spread the message, for example, about marginalized people, what it is like, what it can do, and how do we go about it. Drawings are powerful!
And it was fun!
Adieu, Bali! See you soon :)
Thank you for Leona for all the documentation during the 2nd day.
