Batik is one of the Indonesian cultural heritage. Batik patterns are very diverse which each region’s characteristics. One of the patterns are “Beasan” from Cianjur, West Java. This pattern inspired by rice plants as a major commodities in West Java. It’s been a traditional green philosophy from our ancestors.

In on going circumstances, there is a question, how long might the green philosophy would be exist?

The answer, taken from the Bob Dylan’s song is “Blowin In The Wind” :)

I try to interpret the song. By the way, this song is pretty simple, with packed of meaning. One of the meaning interpretation is, how could be doing better, as a human, in society, to make some changes?

The LTKL, is one of the realistic action to make changes in an environmental issues. This movement, has a main foundation in the region level to mitigate disasters, grow the economy, and realize environmentally friendly development.

And Voila! Between 15-17 May, LTKL made a “Bootcamp for the drafting team” with participants from several region in Indonesia. And..you can see the draft of the future of green and forest, during the event.

So, maybe the word “wind” in Dylan’s song means “ relevant and comprehensive”.

Who knows.. :)
