Indonesia Climate Week. A Graphic Record

On Dec 12-14, 2024, Mentari, a Civil Society Organization (CSO), opened its latest exhibition at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. The event Highlighted by Indonesia Climate Week as a “Merayakan Aksi İklim” or to celebrate climate action before the end of the year 2024. There’s a plenty of products from local, displayed alongside a collection from Sumba island, East Nusa Tenggara. 

Entering a Mentari’s booth, visitors are greeted by a pair of nature’s based products : candlenut oil.or minyak Kemiri, citronella oil, Lalia tea, and local handbag.

This products been in response to electricity goes to village program by CSO Mentari. CSO Mentari began to develop the power plant in Mata Redi village, Sumba island. It brings a huge impact for the villagers. Not only as a power plant but also as an income generator. 

The female villagers or “Mama-mama” roles as a main actors as a local-nature’s based producers and processors.
